Borosilicate 3.3 handles the thermal shock and chemical attack that ordinary soda-lime glass does not, which is why it remains the standard for anything involving heating, strong acids or repeated autoclaving.

Volumetric accuracy is the point worth deciding before ordering. Class A glassware carries an individual tolerance and is what accredited methods generally require; Class B is adequate for routine preparation and teaching at a lower cost. We can supply either, with works certificates where a method or auditor asks for documented tolerance.
